Cross-Ontology Drift is the progressive divergence of an entity's identity, relationships, capabilities, or definitions across its human-facing, machine-readable, platform-mediated, and model-interpreted surfaces.

Drift occurs when multiple versions of the same entity become simultaneously active across websites, schema, APIs, knowledge graphs, partner systems, model memory, and third-party platforms. Each version may appear locally plausible while the total system loses a single stable truth.
