Our power thesis

Devices and operating-system permissions make Apple a gatekeeper even when another company supplies the model. We expect some interaction to move into cross-platform agents, reducing relative interface dominance by 2030.

Four Forces breakdown

Each force uses the same fixed 0–100 scale. The strongest force and breadth of control determine the Power Score.

Our forecast

Across our 2026–2030 view, the Power Score holds at 83.8; the rank moves from #7 to #12.

Compute 65 → 75; Interface 100 → 95; Alignment 85 → 90; Energy 20 → 30.

The thesis above explains our call. Rank can fall even when power grows if other companies gain faster.

What would change our mind

Siri becomes the default agent for most device actions, preserving Apple’s maximum interface position.
